Parish Nurses

A Parish Nurse is a registered nurse who works in a faith community with the healing ministry of the church with a focus on the whole person and an emphasis on wellness, disease prevention and health promotion.

Parish nursing includes: health education, personal health counseling, serving as a health referral agent, training volunteers, acting as an advocate for hospitalized parishioners, working as a liaison between faith communities, offering resources to the wider community, supporting and organizing health services.
